MFT 628 - Practicum II 3 Credit(s) This course will focus on the development of culturally attuned clinical skills for clinical trainees. It will bridge theory with practice from a strength based mental health perspective. It is designed to provide comprehensive understanding of multidimensional mental health issues, culturally relevant clinical treatment, principles of mental health recovery-oriented care, advocacy and resources pertaining to the clinical practice of individual, family and child therapy and interventions with the severely mentally ill. In addition to the in-class requirements, a minimal number of direct clinical training hours, personal therapy hours and clinical training documentation are required to meet with success in this course. Prerequisite(s): MFT 570 , MFT 626 , and MFT 635 concurrently
