MGT 450 - Cultural Diversity in the Workplace 3 Credit(s) This course will introduce the student to basic concepts of human and organizational behavior. Topics covered will include relationships, perception, motivation, styles of leadership, the impact of change on organizations and individuals and organizational ethics. Students will learn to manage the increasingly multicultural workforce domestically, and global workforce. Students will learn to: (1) evaluate their strengths and weaknesses with regard to personality, perception, motivation, job satisfaction, and performance; 2) analyze group dynamics, decision making, and aspects of conflict to learn new strategies in interpersonal communications for improving group performance; 3) to apply knowledge of leadership, power, and management in the evaluation of how a company can improve performance. An emphasize on social responsibility, ethics, diversity and inclusion is included. Prerequisite(s): BUS 311 Managerial Application and Technology and MGT 280 Principles of Management
