HD 616 - Advanced Studies in Leadership in Education3 credits This class is a seminar for professionals in leadership situations who work in early childhood education and other human service professions. Students will evaluate educational issues in contemporary society. Topics include: working effectively with diverse colleagues and families; program development and administration; strategies for facilitating empowerment, responsibility and advocacy; adult supervision; and professional growth and survival. Students will be expected to critically evaluate their own practice and values, to observe and assess other adults working with children and their families or with other adults, and to synthesize values with practice. |
