STATS 225 - Integrated Statistics3 Credit(s)This statistics course is intended for students in a wide variety of areas of study. Topics discussed and explored include displaying and describing data, the normal curve, regression, probability, statistical inference, confidence intervals, and hypothesis tests with applications in the real world. Students also have the opportunity to analyze data sets using technology in their weekly discussions, assignments, and term project. Contemporary applications are explored. The course encourages active student involvement to support and demonstrate mathematics and statistical literacy, understand and relieve mathematics and statistical anxiety, and apply probability and statistics in everyday lives. |
