SPED 315 - Transition and Career Planning3 Credit(s)SPED 315 will prepare candidates to focus on the different learning rates of students with disabilities across the lifespan. Through the understanding of student lifespan transitions, candidates will learn the unique learning needs of students with mild/moderate disabilities and how the role of Case Manager assists in the process. Candidates will understand the role of self-determination, transitions, alternative assessments, and social skills. The course will provide opportunities for candidates to take an active, decision-making role to thoughtfully select, modify, apply, and evaluate ITPs in order to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. |
