The role of communication in the effective management of formal organizations is studied.  This course will focus on written communication skills with emphasis on clear, concise writing.  It presents techniques for gathering, organizing, analyzing and preparing information for decision making.  It develops analytical thinking skills through writing assignments including business letters, memos, and reports.  It also explores the impact of cultural differences on business communication in the modern business organization.  Students develop further skills in written, oral and other methods of business communication.
