ECE 280 - Healthy Living in Early Childhood3 Credit(s)This course introduces students to an overview of health, safety and nutritional needs of young children and early childhood practices that ensure the health and well-being and safety of each child in a group setting, reinforcing wellness at home and at school. Topics include: the foundations of optimal nutrition for toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children, foodborne illness, food safety, promoting healthful practices, evaluating children's health and development. |
