HD 608 - Teaching Adults3 Credit(s)Designed for college teachers, educational leaders, trainers and other facilitators of adult learning, this course examines liberatory models of adult education and strategies for implementation in a variety of settings, from college classrooms to the everyday workplace. Students will explore the tensions and challenges inherent in teaching for transformation, work-arounds for political and systemic constraints, and strategies for drawing out the abilities and capacities of adult learners. Includes opportunities to practice facilitation, collaborative learning, and skills for critically conscious reflective practice. |
